I read this article over the weekend and while at first, I thought it wouldn’t offer anything I didn’t already know, I ended up being challenged by some of the ideas. For instance, currently I have lots of small projects that are distracting from the bigger items I need creative time to delve into. My office door is always open and people frequently pop in and out which pulls me out of whatever I was working on and into something else. I’m realizing I’m constantly fighting distractions and therefore struggling to progress some bigger projects. And as much as I hate closing my door, it might be the needed trick I need to implement a few hours a day in order to get the job done.
Would love to know if anything resonated with you or if you have something you do already that keeps you focused and energized.
